The blockade of the border by the Poles extends to Germany and Lithuania, and Polish carriers will join the farmers.

Polish carriers plan to resume protests on the border with Ukraine on March 1. Their actions were suspended in January this year.

According to RMF FM, the carriers want to join the blockade of the four crossings. They complain that Ukrainians are pushing them out of the market. They demand to restore the permit system for transportation.

Meanwhile, Polish farmers blocked a checkpoint on the border with Germany near Frankfurt am Oder. Traffic was also blocked on the German side. In Germany, farmers are protesting against the planned reduction of subsidies for agricultural diesel fuel.

In addition, on March 1, Polish farmers want to block a checkpoint on the border with Lithuania. The strikers will check whose agricultural products are being transported across the Lithuanian-Polish border.

Commenting on the situation on the border with Poland, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that it is not fair to use Ukraine as a means of putting pressure on European institutions.

“It is very important for us to maintain the alliance with Poland. But if no steps are taken, we will protect our business,” Zelensky emphasized.
