Ciepło, a restaurant of Ukrainian cuisine, opened in the historic Polish city of Krakow. The dishes in the restaurant are mainly prepared by women who were forced to move to Krakow after the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation. He writes about it UAinKrakow.
The official opening of the restaurant took place on January 20, but for several months the restaurant received customers in a test mode.
The idea to open a restaurant came from the team of the ZeroCamps foundation, which has been providing shelter to refugees from Ukraine since the beginning of the war. The Ciepło restaurant offers its visitors dishes of national cuisine in spacious halls, the interior of which contains traditional Ukrainian elements and decorations.
The restaurant’s menu includes cheesecakes, borscht, Kyiv-style cutlets, dumplings, Poltava-style dumplings, soup and cold snacks. Polish gourmets are also offered a treat after tasting Ukrainian lard, marinated herring, and home-made bread.
The average check in a restaurant is 40 zlotys (338 UAH). It should be noted that the most expensive dish is ribs, which cost 48 zlotys (405 UAH).
Restaurant Ciepło is open from Tuesday to Sunday: on weekdays from 14:00 to 21:00, and on weekends from 13:00 to 22:00. The work schedule is planned to be extended in the future.
