During Russia’s night attack on Odesa on 23 July 2023, a national monument, the House of Scientists, built in 1832, was damaged.

The musical instrument remained in the city after the composer’s tour in 1847. The famous piano is awaiting restoration, but there is a critical lack of money for restoration and the damage is further destroying the instrument.
