Famous Ukrainian artists, such as Oleg Skrypka, Tina Karol, Max Barskikh, Nadia Dorofeeva, Artem Pyvovarov, MONATIK, ROXOLANA and other singers joined together to record an album of Ukrainian folk songs and remind Ukrainians of the powerful power of their own heritage.
“Music is in our DNA,” say the authors of the “DNA” album.
Each artist performed one of the most beloved folk songs specially for the album – the album included 18 tracks in total. So, Nadia Dorofeeva sings the well-known song “Tsvete teren”, MONATIK – “Pidmanula podvela”, beloved by all Ukrainians, and Tina Karol – “Why didn’t you come? Dmytro Shurov (Pianoboy) and the singer Roxolana sang a duet – they perform the song “Black eyes” .
“18 favorite folk songs sound in an unusual combination with popular jazz and soul motifs,” says the music label MOZGI Entertainment, which released the album. Each song is a dedication and thanks to the brave soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, everyone who holds our country on their shoulders and at the cost of their own life protects the right of Ukraine to take a worthy place in the world and world culture”.
It should be noted that the funds collected from the auditions will be directed to the UNITED24 charity fund.
